The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, in
partnership with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the
Chesapeake Bay Program, recently announced twenty-four grants through
the Chesapeake Bay Stewardship Fund for projects in Delaware, Maryland,
New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of
Columbia. Recipients have received a total of $12.9 million in
Innovative Nutrient and Sediment Reduction grants to support
efforts to reduce or eliminate nutrient and sediment pollution to the
Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries. This year's recipients are providing
an additional $19.4 million in matching funds.
