Recent Awards
Thirty-two environmental projects from across the
Chesapeake Bay watershed were recently awarded over $2.8 million in
grants from the Chesapeake Bay Program and National Fish and Wildlife
Foundation to help clean up local streams, creeks and rivers that flow
to the Chesapeake Bay.
The funding was awarded through the Chesapeake Bay Small
Watershed Grants Program, which provides grants to nonprofit
organizations and local governments working to improve the condition of

Project Spotlight: Conewago Creek Collaborative Conservation
Initiative (PA)
Project Description: Lead a team of diverse
public and private interests to accelerate restoration in an impaired
tributary of the Susquehanna River. Project involves local
communities in riparian restoration projects, implements innovative
agricultural practices, establishes a sustainable water quality
monitoring program, and works with eligible landowners to identify
opportunities for participation in ecosystem service markets.
