FAQs - Evaluation - Objectives
What is an objective?
An objective can be thought of identical as a goal. It is the
intended expectations to ultimately be achieved by at least completing
the project.
What is the proper time-frame for
stating an objective?
There is no simple answer. It may as short as the length of the
project grant award. It may be something that takes much longer to
accomplish. Frequently, Foundation project administrators provide
references of between 5-10 years, but this is arbitrary and should be
ignored if your information suggests a different length of time for
accomplishing the objective.
How many objectives should be listed in
the project?
It depends upon what the project is trying to accomplish.
E*Projects does not let applicants to list more than 7 objectives; it is
fine for an applicant to far fewer objectives than this maximum
number. There must be at least one objective listed.
See Example 3 of four objectives for the
fictional project
