Timothy DiCintio, Director, Impact-Directed Environmental Accounts
("IDEA")
Tim is the Director of NFWF's IDEA department, which receives,
manages, and disburses funds arising from legal and regulatory actions
that are designated for specific conservation purposes. Most often these
funds originate from court orders, settlements of legal or
administrative cases, regulatory permits, licenses, or
conservation/mitigation plans, although they may also arise from
voluntary activities focused on proactive conservation. Prior to joining
NFWF, Tim was an attorney-advisor in the Washington, DC headquarters of
the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Enforcement and
Compliance Assurance, where he served as EPA's national expert on
Superfund financial assurance issues and focused generally on corporate,
financial, and insurance issues arising within EPA's cleanup enforcement
programs. Before working at EPA, Tim was an attorney in private practice
in the Washington, DC office of Chadbourne & Parke LLP, where he
split his time between the firm's environmental and, subsequently,
corporate and finance practice groups. Tim received his B.A. from Yale
University and his J.D. from Harvard Law School.
Stephanie Tom Coupe, Deputy Director, Impact-Directed Environmental
Accounts ("IDEA")
Stephanie is the Deputy Director of NFWF's IDEA department, which
receives, manages, and disburses funds arising from legal and regulatory
actions that are designated for specific conservation purposes. Most
often these funds originate from court orders, settlements of legal or
administrative cases, regulatory permits, licenses, or
conservation/mitigation plans, although they may also arise from
voluntary activities focused on proactive conservation. Prior to joining
NFWF, Stephanie was the Deputy Assistant Director for the California
Department of Fish and Game , where she had also served for many years
as a lawyer within the Office of General Counsel working on a broad
spectrum of natural resources regulatory, enforcement, and policy
issues. Stephanie also worked in Washington, DC in the Office of the
California Governor as a special advisor on natural resources and energy
issues. Stephanie received her B.A. from the University of California at
Davis and her J.D. from the University of the Pacific's McGeorge School
of Law. She is also a graduate of the California Department of Fish and
Game Resource Academy, a law enforcement certification program for
California fish and game wardens.
