S.D. Bechtel, Jr. Foundation
The S.D. Bechtel, Jr. Foundation partnered with NFWF in 2007 on the
Pacific Grassroots Salmonid Initiative—a program that strengthened
local capacity for stewardship of priority salmonid habitat on the
Pacific coast. In 2008, Bechtel joined NFWF to support the Nature
Restoration Trust—a program that benefits fish, wildlife, and
plants by providing educational opportunities and encouraging community
involvement in conservation efforts in northern and central
California.

Harold K.L. Castle Foundation
The Harold K.L. Castle Foundation and NFWF have worked together since
2005 on the Coral Reef Conservation Program to support projects
benefiting Hawaiian coral reefs. The partnership aims to protect and
restore coral reef resources in Hawaiian waters by encouraging local
Hawaiian applicants to conserve the fragile reefs that surround and
protect their island homes.

Doris Duke Charitable Foundation
NFWF has partnered with the Doris Duke Foundation since 2004 on
enhancing State Wildlife Action Plans—an unprecedented effort to
create comprehensive strategies for conserving biological diversity in
all 50 states. Beginning in 2008, with the support of Doris Duke, NFWF
launched a campaign to generate corporate funding to support the
implementation of priority conservation activities contained in those
State Wildlife Action Plans. We anticipate generating several million
dollars for these critical wildlife protection projects.

Jackson Hole One Fly Capital Foundation
The Jackson Hole One Fly Foundation (One Fly) and NFWF established a
partnership in 2003 to leverage both organizations’ funding and
interest in native trout conservation, particularly in the Upper Snake
River and Yellowstone basins in Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho. The One Fly
was created to generate, manage, and invest funds for projects that
benefit trout and fly-fishing environments.

William Penn has been a partner of NFWF’s Delaware Estuary
Watershed Program since the program’s inception six years ago.
NFWF’s Delaware Estuary program provides support to organizations
working on a local level to protect and improve watersheds in the
estuary, while building citizen-based resource stewardship. Now in its
sixth year, the program has awarded 134 grants, providing over $3.8
million in federal and private funds that were leveraged with an
additional $11 million in matching funds raised by grantees.

Turner Foundation, Inc.
The Turner Foundation, founded in 1990 by Ted Turner, seeks to fund
organizations focusing on initiatives that highlight habitat restoration
and sustainable living. Their partnership has further amplified the
ability of NFWF to carry out our mission of sustaining, restoring, and
enhancing the nation’s fish, wildlife, plants, and habitats. Most
recently the Turner Foundation has supported NFWF’s Acres for
America program and their funds helped protect more than 11,000 acres of
longleaf pine forest in Florida’s panhandle.
