Description: Conduct a rapid, systematic inventory of anadromous and resident fish distribution and associated aquatic and riparian habitat in select drainages of the upper Yukon River and select drainages of the Tanana River to fill knowlegde gaps in the Alaska Freshwater Fish Inventory Database. Project will monitor 120 sites in and around YukonCharley National Park and Yukon Flats National Wildlife Refuge.
Award Amount: $31,278.00
Matching Contribution: $31,282.00
Location: Upper Yukon River and the upper Tanana River. The 39,778 square kilometer study area comprises select subbasins of these two river systems and 2019 will be the first year of a planned two to three year effort to sample the entire upper Yukon and Tanana Rivers and their major tributaries
