Support recovery of the federally endangered red-cockaded woodpecker through translocation of birds from the Francis Marion National Forest to public lands and private forests enrolled in the Safe Harbor Program in South Carolina. Project will translocate at least 20 birds to restored longleaf pine habitat that will be managed long-term.
