NFWF Grant Profile

Work to achieve a sustainable shorebird harvest, while meeting the cultural and subsistence needs of people who use the shorebird resource on Guadeloupe. Project will include training for legal shorebird hunters and agency rangers on Guadeloupe, thus increasing their knowledge and understanding of the life history and conservation status of migratory shorebirds, resulting in greater compliance to regulations, including restrictions on species harvested, daily openings and daily bag limits.
