Description:

Accelerate longleaf pine habitat restoration on public and private lands in north central Florida to benefit the federally endangered red-cockaded woodpecker, and imperiled reptiles, such as the gopher tortoise. Project will engage private landowners in longleaf restoration through a prescribed burn association, and will restore and enhance more than 8,000 acres of longleaf pine habitat, including key sites on the Ocala National Forest and Camp Blanding Joint Training Center.
