Improve the health and resilience of the Rio Grande in Alamosa County, CO by restoring streambanks and riparian areas and removing noxious weeds, thereby reducing sediment load to the river, improving riparian and aquatic habitat, reconnecting the river to its floodplain and revitalizing riparian wetlands. Project will restore 25 acres through noxious weed removal, restore 1.2 miles of instream habitat and plant 1380 willows and cottonwood trees.
