Improve existing grassland habitat health and establish 5-10 year conservation agreements with landowners through the South Dakota Prairie Management Toolbox which provides cost-share and technical assistance for woody species removal, prescribed fire, native vegetation reseeding, and grazing infrastructure. Project will bring 10,000 acres under improved management and restore 2,700 acres of habitat.
