NFWF Grant Profile

Restore water control within the Thousand Acre Marsh Impoundment to prevent further decline in habitat quality and increase resiliency of coastal wetland habitat by restoring a failing water control structure. Project will enhance fish and wildlife habitat by improving water management capabilities within the wetland complex, improve water quality and sediment filtration capacity of the system, increase resiliency to climate change, and enhance wetland and wildlife-associated recreation.
