Description:

Restore populations of Oregon Coast coho salmon by re-establishing floodplain connection and improve natural watershed processes on over 180 acres of tidal wetland in the Siuslaw River Estuary on the Oregon Coast. Project will implement recently completed plans to remove and replace existing tide gate, breach an artificial levee, place large woody debris, re-establish and monitor tidal wetland vegetation, and implement additional priority actions identified in coho recovery plans.
