Implement actions to eradicate an incipient population of invasive common opossum from Santa Cruz Island in the Galapagos to protect the island’s population of critically endangered Galapagos Petrel. Project will achieve eradication through the application of aerial and ground-dispersed toxic baits, trapping and hunting, and will manage non-target risks, implement effective biosecurity measures, and empower local stakeholders, including biosecurity officers and park rangers.
