The watershed is home to 1.3 million people. Corn, soybeans, hay, alfalfa and winter wheat compose most cropland among dairy operators. $120,000.00
2017 Restoration Modeling and Wetlands Reserve Program Implementation in the Myakka River Basin (FL) Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast The Project is located on the Myakka River in Myakka City, Manatee County, Florida. $277,201.50
2017 Accelerating Technical Assistance to Farmers Participating in the Minnesota Agricultural Water Quality Certification Program Stearns County Soil and Water Conservation District This project will include the all or portions of the following counties in MN: Benton, Morrison, Todd, Douglas, Stevens, Pope, Stearns, Meeker, Kandiyohi, Chippewa, Swift, and Big Stone. $199,447.00
2017 A Targeted Community Approach to Improving Water Quality in the Mississippi River Basin Polk Soil and Water Conservation District The project will be located in Polk County, Iowa within the boundaries of the Walnut Creek, Mud Creek, Spring Creek, Camp Creek, and Fourmile Creek Watersheds. $203,068.41
2017 Farm to Water Table: Promoting Water Conservation BMPs for Salmon in the Navarro Watershed Mendocino County Resource Conservation District The Navarro River Watershed is located in southern Mendocino County, California, about 2 hours north of San Francisco. The River begins off State Highway 128 near the town of Yorkville, and winds through Anderson Valley--famous for its wine grapes and wineries-and continues to the Mendocino Coast. $138,856.09
2017 Conserving Fish and Mussels in the Conasauga River Watershed (GA, TN) Limestone Valley Resource Conservation and Development Council The Conasauga River flows freely for 150km through Georgia and Tennessee, and spans two ecological regions. The headwaters originate in the Cohutta Wilderness and flow through Chattahoochee and Cherokee NF before they flow through the agricultural landscape of the Upper Coosa Basin. $267,594.33
2016 Nutrient and Sediment Reduction through Conservation Planning to Benefit the Ecology of the Saginaw Bay Watershed Saginaw Conservation District This project will take place throughout the central Saginaw Bay Watershed. It includes the Regional Conservation Partnership Program located within Saginaw, Bay, and Tuscola Counties. $150,000.00
2016 Accelerating Phosphorus Reduction in Green Bay through Nutrient Management and Sediment Control Oconto County Land Conservation Division The project area will encompass Oconto County, Wisconsin which totals approximately 753,000 acres. Prioritization will be placed on the three (out of a total four) watersheds within the county that are on the 303(d) Impaired Waters List. $58,404.04
2016 Landowner Assistance for Streamflow Enhancement in Sonoma County’s Salmonid-bearing Streams Sonoma Resource Conservation District The project is located in Sonoma County, a coastal county in Northern California. The project area includes the Russian River, Petaluma River, Salmon Creek, and Sonoma Creek, watersheds that have been identified as critical in restoring Central California Coast (CCC) coho salmon and steelhead trout. $194,786.37
