Evaluate limestone sand additions to the strip mined headwaters of Big Creek Pennsylvania to determine influence on continuous pH conditions, habitat quality, and the recovery of sensitive insects and other benthic invertebrates. Project will re-introduce native brook trout to the currently fishless watershed, piloting long-term strategies to maintain water quality and ecological improvements attained through restoration efforts.
