Description:

(Pipeline) Evaluate sediment transport changes and critical habitats, including SAV (Submerged Aquatic Vegetation), in Roanoke Sound, NC to inform the placement, preliminary design, and function of proposed innovative living shoreline stabilization methods. The proposed Project will provide site analysis and preliminary engineering and design of two community prioritized estuarine marsh restoration and shoreline stabilization sites. Project partners will develop a research methodology for analyzing sediment changes and serve as a resilience transference to other coastal communities in the region.
