This grant would help fund purchase of a perpetual grassland easement in the Missouri Coteau region of North Dakota. Specific tract would be selected based on biological benefits from those offered $58,588.00
2010 Risks and Impacts of Crab Fishing Gear on Minke Whales Mingan Island Cetacean Study, Inc. This project will take place within the Mingan Archipelago in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, Canada. Many minke whales forage in the island’s shallow water passageways where fishermen set crab traps. $65,000.00
2010 McArthur Lake Wildlife Corridor (ID) The Nature Conservancy The McArthur Lake Wildlife Corridor is located on Hwy 95 in Boundary and Bonner Counties of northern Idaho. It connects the Selkirk and Cabinet-Yaak Mountains linking a million acres of public lands. $500,000.00
2010 Furthering New Mexico Lesser Prairie-Chicken Conservation Playa Lakes Joint Venture Primarily in southeastern New Mexico in Chaves, Curry, Lea and Roosevelt Counties. $249,466.00
2010 Controlling Invasive Plants throughout Eastern Lake Michigan The Nature Conservancy The project covers the full eastern Lake Michigan shoreline from New Buffalo to the Mackinac Bridge, emphasizing areas with endangered and threatened species and high quality natural communities. $748,188.00
2010 Marine Debris Removal in the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary Stellwagen Alive!
