2015 Developing the Next Generation of Conservationists in Mason Valley (NV) Mason Valley Conservation District This Project is located in Nevada, adjacent to the Walker River, East and West Forks as well as the main drainage below the confluence of the two forks from the California-Nevada State Line to the Lyon-Mineral County line. $49,551.18
2015 Story Mill Community Park (MT) - II The Trust for Public Land The 55-acre Story Mill Community Park is located just northeast of the urban core of Bozeman (Gallatin County), a small city (population ~40,000) in southwestern Montana. $75,000.00
2015 Development of a Regional Windowpane and Yellowtail Flounder Bycatch Hotspot Mapping and Avoidance Network in New England Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County Southern New England and Georges Bank $130,681.00
2015 Des Moines Urban Forest Management Project (IA) Tree Des Moines, Inc The project will take place within the city limits of Des Moines, Iowa. The tree inventory, education and outreach programs will be conducted at locations throughout the city. Trees will be planted in high priority areas identified during the inventory process. $50,000.00
2015 Edwards Creek Lek Pinion Juniper Removal Project Great Basin Institute Project work will take place in the Edwards Creek Lek area of the Northern Desatoya Mountains, in Churchill and Lander Counties, Nevada. The BLM and Nevada Division of Wildlife have been conducting extensive restoration projects in the Desatoya Mountains to improve and protect sage-grouse habitat. $49,483.48
2015 Chattahoochee River Wetland Restoration and Watershed Education Program at the Chattahoochee Nature Center (GA) Chattahoochee Nature Center The wetland is in the Chattahoochee River watershed and supports the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. $40,000.00
2015 School Gardens: Strengthening Conservation and Education in North Texas REAL School Gardens The exact school sites which will benefit from this grant will be determined by several factors including geographic preferences of matching donors, amount of time spent on our waitlist, etc. However, the selected districts are an accurate representation of our expected service area. $30,000.00
2015 Strategic Longleaf Pine Restoration and Outreach in Alabama The Nature Conservancy The project will cover the range of longleaf pine in Alabama with a micro-targeted outreach component in the following southwest Alabama counties: Baldwin, Choctaw, Clarke, Escambia, Mobile, Monroe, and Washington. Outreach activities will be coordinated with SGAs to prevent project duplication. $145,206.05
