2016 Evaluation and restoration of degraded chaparral within Piru Fire perimeter University of California - Santa Barbara On ground vegetation assessment, seed collection and restoration will be conducted within the Piru fire in Ventura County,CA. GIS analyses will be conducted at UCSB. Greenhouse research will be conducted at UCR and UCSB and methods will be then transferred to degraded habitat within Piru fire. $195,642.52

2016 Greenway Renewal along Elizabeth's Urban Waters (NJ) Groundwork Elizabeth This project will take place along the City of Elizabeth's urban waters, namely the Elizabeth River and the Travers Branch tributary. Due to shared municipal borders, the City of Union is partially included in both waterway locations. The Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge is also included. $24,500.00

2016 The Monarch Butterfly Community Conservation Program (MD) National Aquarium, Inc. The project will take place at the following locations in Baltimore City (inside Baltimore County): Masonville Cove Urban Wildlife Refuge; a wetland adjacent to Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine; schools and community green spaces within Brooklyn/Curtis Bay and west Baltimore City. $40,311.99
2016 Shortleaf Pine Restoration On Lauderdale and Freedom Hills Wildlife Management Area American Forest Foundation The purpose is to restore 1,100 acres of shortleaf on Lauderdale and Freedom Hill WMA and to promote shortleaf restoration and sustainable forest management to family forest owners in the surrounding area on the Cumberland Plateau. $177,226.37
