2016 Establishing Strategic Links to Conserve the Overwintering Sites of the Monarch Butterfly (Mexico) Alternare, A.C. The MMBR is located within Mexico’s Neovolcanic Belt, an area of biogeographic transition characterized by a remarkably rich assemblage of plants and animals. In 1986 was stablished the 16,110 ha Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve (MBBF) as a national protected area and another one in 2000 expand $50,000.00
