2024 Eastern Sierra Climate and Communities II (CA) Whitebark Institute The Mono Basin is located in the Eastern Sierra, just east of Yosemite National Park (Map 3). The Mono Basin can be defined as all lands that contribute to Mono Lake. The project area is defined here as lands in the basin west of US Highway 395 plus the community of Mono City. $7,000,000.00
