2009 Mississippi River Floodplain Forest Restoration Friends of the Mississippi River The Vermillion River Bottoms encompass the 20-mile stretch of the Vermillion River between Hastings and Red Wing. The Freitag tract serves as the western terminus of this great floodplain area. $34,000.00
