National Fish and Wildlife Foundation Announces Addition of Bruce Culpepper and K.C. Walsh to Board of Directors

WASHINGTON, D.C. (October 22, 2018) – The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) today announced that Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke has appointed Bruce Culpepper and K.C. Walsh to its Board of Directors. Mr. Culpepper is U.S. Country Chair and President of Shell Oil Company and Mr. Walsh is Executive Chairman of Simms Fishing Products.

“I am so pleased to welcome Bruce and K.C. to NFWF’s Board of Directors,” said Rod Rodriguez, Jr., Chairman of the Board of NFWF. “Both of these men bring a lifelong passion for conservation to their new role. Bruce has demonstrated amazing leadership in renewing and expanding Shell’s commitment to innovative ways to support conservation projects in locations where Shell operates across the United States. And K.C. has devoted his career to leading a company that serves fishermen and women across the country. Both of these men will provide valuable business and personal perspectives on how NFWF can continue to lead the way in funding conservation projects across the nation.”

In his current role at Shell Oil Company, Bruce Culpepper is involved in engaging with public, private, media and nongovernmental leaders on a wide range of energy policy issues. He is charged with establishing and advocating for innovative, industry-leading solutions for securing safe, stable and sustainable energy sources. Culpepper is also accountable for coordinating and aligning the various U.S. businesses to ensure delivery of the country strategy.

Culpepper is an avid outdoorsman with a keen interest in land and water conservation. He is a board member of the Greater Houston Partnership, the United Way of Greater Houston, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation and the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation. He also volunteers for a number of other organizations. Culpepper lives in Houston with his wife, Marguerite. They have two children: a daughter, Ashley, and a son, Addison.

In 1993 K.C. Walsh, a lifelong angler raised in a multi-generational fishing family, combined two of his passions, fishing and guiding companies to realize their full potential. Walsh spent his early career helping companies grow and flourish as a management consultant with Deloitte. With Walsh’s rare combination of devotion to the sport and management experience, those close to the deal knew Simms would thrive. In the 25 years under Walsh’s leadership, the quality of Simms products has continued to improve, the workforce has continued to grow, the product line has continued to expand, making Simms one of the leaders in the sport fishing industry.

Walsh’s first order of business back in 1993 was to move Simms’ Headquarters to Bozeman, Montana. Relocating to Bozeman put Simms a stone’s throw from some of the most legendary fishing rivers in the world. Simms taps into the experience of expert anglers, employing them at every level and in every role, from designers, developers and product managers, to wear testers, consultants and craftspeople.
