2016 Restoring Seabird Breeding Habitat on Kure Atoll - III (HI) Hawaii Division of Forestry and Wildlife Kure Atoll is the northwestern most emergent land in the Hawaiian archipelago and is the State of Hawaii’s most significant seabird sanctuary. Green Island, the only permanent island, is 3.5 miles in circumference with an area of 222 acres (188 acres of vegetation cover). $550,000.00
