2011 Eastern Pacific Hawksbill Initiative - III The Ocean Foundation The Gulf of Fonseca is a sea-inlet of 3,200 km2 that fronts the Central American countries of El Salvador, Nicaragua and Honduras. Regional project components involve countries from Mexico to Peru. $114,450.00
2011 Protecting Leatherbacks with Time-Area Closures WIDECAST: Wider Caribbean Sea Turtle Conservation Network, Inc. Trinidad, located in the southern Caribbean, supports one of the 3 largest nesting colonies of leatherback sea turtles in the world, but sustains 3,000 gillnet entanglements. $47,864.00
2011 North Central Florida Cooperative Species Management Area Bradford Soil and Water Conservation District The 13 counties are located in North Central Florida and include all the counties in the Suwannee River Water Management District. The primary land uses are forestry and agriculture. $20,000.00
2011 Columbia Gorge Cooperative Weed Management Area Early Detection Rapid Response (OR, WA) Hood River Soil and Water Conservation District East of Portland, OR, in both OR/WA in the Columbia Gorge CWMA. Area includes the Mt. Hood and Gifford Pinchot National Forests and Columbia River Gorge NSA. $32,330.00
2011 Upper Green River Fencing and Statewide Conservation (WY) Wyoming Land Trust The Wildlife-Friendly Fencing Initiative takes place along a key Mule Deer migration route in the Upper Green. All conservation efforts are statewide, but ultimately affect the Keystone area. $200,000.00
2011 Identification and Modeling of Alewife Stock Structure Gulf of Maine Research Institute Research location is GMRI. Otolith samples come from 20 ME watersheds, 1 MA watershed, coastal ME intercept fisheries, and at-sea and dockside monitoring programs. $136,324.83
