NFWF and the Trinchera Blanca Foundation, an affiliate of The Moore Charitable Foundation, founded by Louis Bacon, partnered with the Rio Grande Program to restore habitats for native aquatic and riparian species in the Rio Grande Headwaters region. Central to this effort is working with local partners to implement conservation on the ground that restores habitat for iconic species such as Rio Grande cutthroat trout and North American beaver, while improving the hydrologic function of watersheds for downstream communities. The NFWF-Trinchera Blanca Foundation conservation partnership supports NFWF’s efforts to enable a landscape-scale conservation impact supported by rigorous monitoring and evaluation of outcomes for at-risk species in this region.
