The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) supports projects to improve water quality and advance community-based watershed restoration.
The EPA and NFWF partner to improve water quality through natural restoration activities. The partnership supports coordinated conservation activities across large watersheds in partnership with the states and other federal agencies.
Partner programs include the Chesapeake Bay Stewardship Fund, Sustain Our Great Lakes program (in partnership with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service), Long Island Sound Futures Fund, and Five-Star and Urban Waters Restoration grant programs. Community engagement and support of projects that address local government priorities are core features of the partnership.
